About Us

Hi there!

We're Lauren and Kate - two old mates-turned-witches from Warrnambool at the far end of Victoria's Great Ocean Road. 

We are the proud creators behind SALT SKIN - a little passion project which started in 2020 with making products for family and friends.  They kept asking for more, and started telling their friends - and so SALT SKIN became "a thing".

We love creating, and we're thrilled to share our small batch, hand made body care goods with you, and we delight in making honest and unique products using only the very best ingredients, and packaging it up in thoughtfully and beautifully to create an experience from beginning to end. 

We source our beeswax raw from a number of local apiarists, and regularly raid our own (and our mum's) gardens for herbs, botanicals, vegetables and fruits that we dry ourselves for both ingredients and packaging. 

We're fascinated by old remedies that our grandparents used to live by, and we're inspired by the self-sufficient, practical and sustainable ways by which they lived. Nothing was wasted.  We try to use minimal packaging, or source options that are reusable, recyclable or compostable. 

When using our products, you might notice that a little bit goes a long way.

We are life-long learners and information seekers - these products were born from that curiosity, as well as the joy that comes from creating things, and the desire to enjoy high quality using natural ingredients and minimal packaging.

On weekends when we're not making things, we enjoy ocean swimming, riding bikes, camping, hiking and reading books.
